things I've 'found out' during my life. I'm real into list lately:
- when a female's lips (face) are burned, cut or harmed in other ways leaving them beyond repair, doctor's can use skin from their vagina's to fix them/it. The skin on our boxes & lips are the same skin.
- if you've fallen in love or are in love & are between the ages of 12-19 you are psychologically viewed to be immature & lacking a sense of self. (I'll explain if needed)
- cats are trainable - just like dogs.
- you can get a cow to go upstairs but not back down (got this one from a comedy show)
- sexual chemistry is the easiest part of a relationship. either it's there or it isn't. people waste a lot of time & energy trying to force what just isn't there when they should just move on.
- at the end of adolescence, a child should be emotionally independent (think for himself) from his parents & becoming his own person.. a lot of parents are offended by this but really it's got nothing to do with love.
- there's no such thing as 'love at first sight' only 'lust at first sight'.
- people shouldn't fall in love, rather stand in love because to fall is to be helpless & passive but standing implies that a person is stable enough that they not only know themselves & valve but love themselves enough to know what they want in another person & therefore are actually able to be in love without losing themselves.
- people who 'look the other way' in their relationships often think they are being mature or saving their relationship but not making a big deal over disrespectful situations but in reality they are ruining their chances of having a successful relationship with this person. co-dependent people will put up with any & everything & normally end up with nothing.
I got a few from my psych book. I really love that class and when I can I plan on taking more psychology courses. MAYBE abnormal psych in the fall, then I'll know what the fuck is wrong with you !
Well I want you to explain the 12-19 one because I am 19.
&
I don't believe in love at first sight but I did meet this guy at dennys one day who married his wife 28 days after he met her (weird right?) and now they're going on their 19th anniversary. Does that mean he fell in love @ first sight or he just fell in love along the way?
